The title of this post should be: "It's really hard to sit still for 26 minutes while waiting for your turn."
Yesterday was David's last swimming lesson for the time being. His super awesome swimming instructor, Miss Brittany, is leaving the Y. Also, the classes seem to be getting bigger each session as summer approaches, and David is finding all the waiting on the edge of the pool to be a bit tedious.
But he certainly does his best to stay entertained...and keep the rest of his class (and Mary) entertained as well.
He did get a few minutes in the water, of course:
The big finale:
The first time David jumped in the water to his teacher, he made an effort to jump as far away from her as possible. It was quite the leap, for David, and then for Miss Brittany, who had to lunge to snag him. I wish I could say with certainty that Miss Brittany was going to miss David...We will, of course, miss her. And his new friends, Ann and Sam--good thing they like to go swimming on the weekends too.
