How to celebrate the beginning of summer

We all could probably do better remembering the origins and purpose of Memorial Day. However, for better or worse, it has come to signify the beginning of summer. Here are some ways to celebrate.

Run around the backyard in your diaper and crocs "helping" Daddy do yard work. And try not to get your hand stuck in your diaper. (Look closely at the picture.)

Hide in the bushes.

Take a ride in a kayak--no water necessary.

(We got down one of the kayaks to help us think through how to configure the family so we can all go kayaking safely. Grandmas, don't worry about Mary. No matter what happens, she'll be fine wearing this sucker.)

Run around a fountain.

Run through a fountain.

Finish the day off with long naps for all and a trip to Target.

And don't forget to do the laundry. It might be a holiday, but it's still Monday.
