This is the exact spot where David tried to plant his Mother's Day marigold. He wasn't successful. (The marigold is in the backyard, where it will get more sun.) But now, at every chance he gets, he moves this particular pot of flowers to that exact spot. And I always move it back. It's getting ridiculous. I know there are more important battles to fight, but I have chosen this one. I will admit, though, that I am getting weary, and thinking about setting a new trend in the neighborhood. A lone, random flower pot in the middle of the grass--when you see it in Better Homes and Gardens or hear it suggested by Martha Stewart, you'll know who really started it.
