This year we added two new ornaments to our tree. The first is a little 1903 Wright Flyer that we got at the Air Force Museum.
It's the perfect memento for our time in Dayton. I love it.But I love this ornament even more:
It's the first ornament on our tree handmade by one of our children. David made it at school last week. I thought I would hate cluttering my tree with school projects. But this candy cane makes my heart swell with pride. I love, love, love it. I still may hate cluttering our Christmas tree with school projects--we only have one so far. But I have a feeling I'm going to hang on to this one for the long haul.
