Nine-month-old Mary: The facts
- Mary wants in on the potty-training action in the bathroom. (Since David, a novice, has terrible aim, Mary's presence terrifies me.)
- Mary likes to sleep in her car seat, even at night. (Though she has just begun, this week, to discover the joy of sleeping all stretched out in her crib.)
- Mary will not eat anything she can't feed herself. ("Baby food" is out. She likes Cheerios, graham crackers, and garlic bread. Yes, Uncle Daniel, she takes after you.)
- Mary has no teeth. (But we think she's cutting one now.)
- Mary's great love in life is to chew on her brother's Crocs (to my horror).
- Mary's other great love in life is playing with my keys.
- Mary cruises, but she doesn't know it. So she prefers crawling. And she's really fast.
- Mary is in desperate need of another hair cut.
- Mary doesn't have to rely on her brother as much right now for entertainment. She can do her own thing.
- Mary is ever helpful. She just unplugged the mouse on my computer.
