Yesterday we met Andy, Elena, and Baby Abby at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. I love these kids. And I love their parents, Michelle and Brad. We met Brad and Michelle when we lived in Delaware, long before there were any kids. They have always been the kind of friends you need when you don't live near family. (In other words, the kind of friends you can impose on.) They were also the ones who introduced us to Settlers of Catan. (Our life has never been the same since.) After Delaware, the Air Force took us different ways, but AFIT reunited us here in Ohio. It's been comforting to have their support nearby, fun to play games again with them, and a joy to watch our children play together. We will once again be going our separate ways in a few months, which nearly breaks my heart, but I hope our paths will cross again soon.
